Our number. The thresholds are £50,000 of qualifying income from April 2026, £30,000 from April 2027 and £20,000 from April 2028, from HMRC's own guidance: Find out if and when you need to use Making Tax Digital for Income Tax, which names all three lines and their years.
Where they beat us: the second site is software you can actually file with, and we are not software. The first comes with a membership that answers the phone. We answer the question; they sell the tool or the club.
